Yes - forms with code that are not admin approved go in the sandbox. Forms in the sandbox can't have SharePoint Web Part Connection parameters. See the attached screenshot.

Hi Hilary, Indeed, I've added all the fields in the window you've marked. As input & output. The strange thing is that for another subsite I've implemented a webform using Qrules and it works. So for the particular site I'm working on for the moment, there should be a setting somewhere in SharePoint I need to change in order to, either disable the Sandbox functionality, or allow the coded webpart to be added. Do you know which setting I need to change ? I have full control so I should be able to change the setting as the subsite where it works falls under the same site collection. Thx in advance for your help :-) kind regards, Tim

So - to clarify, you are saying you have another form with code (qRules) published as a browser form, with SharePoint Web Part Connection parameters, in Office 365? Because to the best of my understanding, this is not allowed in the Sandbox, and browser forms with code must be in the Sandbox on Office 365 as they cannot be admin approved. May I see a copy of the template that you are able to use in the browser? You can attach a file under the Options tab in a reply.

Hi Hilary, I have a feeling a sad something rather stupid in my previous post, anyway what I did is, I changed the Parameter Type in the Property Promotion from Input & Output to Output and the problem is solved, yeah !!! Now what I see is that the field in which a particular code is created with a button and the following rule : Set a field's value SampleCode concat("L"; Title[msxsl:string-compare(StartDate; today()) = 0]; "000"; max(ID) + 1) The field stays empty in the list, so from what I understand values created by formula are not exported to the lists, any idea how to solve that ? Further investigating, I have the impression than when there's another Button with the Rule "Set a field's value" the Rules Webservice isn't executed at all. Thx in advance for your help & sorry if I ask rather unintelligent questions, I 'm rather new in this Kind regards, Tim

Your questions are not unintelligent - we are all new at things at one point. :) So - your button rule should run when the button is clicked. If you put the field you are setting on the form, does it get set? At the very least, I'd expect it to say "L". Does it work when you preview the form?

Yes the Button Works in the form : It creates the Code "LL0003" where L => stands for LAB 2nd L stand for the Year = 2016 = "L", 2017 = "M", .... and then there is a sequential number of 4 digits The code is created but when I created the button and than submit the form the web service doesn't work and when I submit without creating the code, the web service writes the fields to the appropriate lists

Okay, I think I understand what you are saying. If the form has its code, the SubmitToSharePointList command fails (doesn't create the list items) and if it does NOT have the code, the SubmitToSharePointList command succeeds (DOES create the list items). Is that correct? If you look at the QdabraRules data source, you'll see there is an "Error" node as well as an "ExecutionHistory" group. Drag the ExecutionHistory group and / or the Error node onto your form - are you getting back an error after you try the command with the code populated?

Thanks - when you tested to see if there is an error, did you remove the rule action to close the form? Since the QdabraRules data source is a secondary data source, the error will only be present for that session.

One more thing - I see in your mapping that you have SampleCode mapped to a SharePoint column called DesiredTestCompletionDate. Is that column a date type in SharePoint? Because that would probably throw an error, if you submit non date data to a date column.
