Populating a calculated date field into a date picker control - possible?

I have a calculated date field that adds 14 days to the created date. I then want to auto-populate this calculated date into a date picker on my InfoPath 2013 form... When I view the calculated date field in the SP list - it shows in this format; 10/7/2015 (which is correct) but when it tries to auto-populate into the date picker it shows in the following format: 2015-10-07 13:13:38 (even though I only have the calculated column to show DATE ONLY) Does anyone know a workaround for getting it to populate the date picker with the correct format?

Oh good old SharePoint - it is displaying the date as date only, but it includes the time. Drag your secondary data source that has the date from SharePoint in it onto your form and be sure the date field is set to show the XML value, then preview. Then you'll be able to see the actual data and use a substring formula to get back just the date - probably substring-before T.
