open submitted form in print view only

I have 6 views within one form that includes a print view (with the kind help from you guys!). This print view depends on filled fields from the 5 views. So for example, if view fields in view No 2 is not filled then it wont be included within print view and so on. What my question is how can I customise this form so when it is submitted to our sharepoint area we open the submitted form it only has the print view with the filled views?

Can this be done within infopath 2003 SP2?

You can switch views when the form is opening using code or rules

To do it using rules, click tools, form options, open and save, rules, then add rules with conditions to switch view

    Hi Stavi

I dont think I have made my self clear! I would like the submitted form to be opened within the 'set' view. The rules you recommended works but we do not wish to switch view with 'fill out this form'(opening the form before is has been filled in), it is the filled and submitted form we wish to view print view only within our form library.

    many thanks for your reply

If it is a new form then all the views will be blank and the conditions on the rules should return false and not do anything?

So i would check the conditions on your rules and work out why they are switching view when they shouldnt

Alternately you could add a rule to run before any of the others. Set the conditons on this rule so it only runs if none of the views have been filled in, dont add a action, instead click "Stop processing rules when this rule finishes"

This will block your other rules from running

    Hi Ali,

I think this is possible with coding. You check it in OnLoad event, while opening the form fro sharepoint is it switching to newview, if not switch view to the print view.

    Hope this helps you!

If all else fails you could add a "SubmittedToSharePoint" boolean node on your Main DOM and whenever you submit turn this on. The in Rules or OnLoad, check the value of this field and then switch to the Print View if necessary.
