I have an expense form table with multiple rows and need subtotals for account numbers. It needs to ignore blanks.

I don't even know where to begin, and I'm not a programmer...help please!

    7110-785-= $60.00

    6723-785=$16

    6952-414=$6.00

What version of InfoPath? Browser or Filler form? I'll put together a quick sample for you later today. :)

So sorry! InfoPath 2013 and filler form. Thank you!

Here's a sample with a guess at what you're wanting. Save the file locally. Right click the file and select Design to open in IP designer. From there, preview, add some rows and take a look at the summary table. It is the same repeating table, just with some calculated values and formatting.

First, thank you for your quick reply and solution!! I'm fairly new at this and not always sure I'm doing things the most efficient way. So, we have 3 GL accounts and about 80 cost centers that they can combine. Do I need to create every possible combination in the drop-down in the account Number field for it to filter to?

No - I just used a filter based on a field value to do the grouping. Attach a copy of your form under the options tab and I can set up something similar there.

I don't have the information in a repeating table - do you want me to set that up first?

Oh! Sorry, I just assumed your data was in a repeating table. How is it currently structured?

I went ahead and added a repeating table, it's not a problem at all! But, now it says the file is too big to attach.
