I am using Infopath Designer 2010 to create a form to be run in 2007 format. I am having a number of problems with action rules. I have several checkboxes and am trying to create an action rule that would set the values of 2 other checkboxes. The original set of checkboxes are: ssn = true or addresszip = true or dob = true or medicare = true or other = true When any of them are checked I want to set the check box for id_fin_incident = "true" and creditmonitoring = "true" I have tried this by creating two identical rules each with setting the a field independently and also with running both actions under one rule but all I can seem to get accomplished is setting the check box for id_fin_incident Filed under: infopath 2007, rules, Infopath 2007 SharePoint, infopath2007, Action, Checkbox based on another checkbox value, infopath 2007 code, checkbox, 2007 infopath 07-27-2015 09:09 AM In reply to Hilary Stoupa Joined on 06-20-2008 Posts 13,269 Re: Setting checkbox values - Completely New - Please be gentle Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Thank you very much. The version I am sending you has a rule on the SSN checkbox to set both the id_fin_incident checkbox and the creditmonitoring checkbox and that didn't work. Then I figured since I managed to set the id_fin_incident checkbox with the SSN checkbox maybe I could set the rule from the id_fin_incident checkbox to the creditmonitoring checkbox but that didn't work either. 07-27-2015 12:09 PM In reply to Hilary Stoupa Joined on 06-20-2008 Posts 13,269 Re: Setting checkbox values - Completely New - Please be gentle scrn.png Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Your rules are fine. It is the checkbox settings for creditmonitoring that are wrong - it doesn't have anything selected for value when checked / cleared. Reply Contact Thank you very much. Feeling kind of dumb with that one. I'll double check all of my fields. 07-27-2015 12:18 PM In reply to Hilary Stoupa Joined on 06-20-2008 Posts 13,269 Re: Setting checkbox values - Completely New - Please be gentle Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Nothing to feel dumb about, I assure you. I previewed the form and double checked the rules a few times, including in the rule inspector, before it occurred to me to look at the checkbox settings. :) Hilary Stoupa Page 1 of 1 (6 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
