Hello,
We have deployed browser based InfoPath form to SharePoint site which has forms based authentication. And often users use Microsoft Excel document which has links to this InfoPath forms saved in SharePoint forms library.
When user clicks on InfoPath form link in the excel document, new browser window opens which asks user to login, even if user is already logged into the site. And once user logins the forms opens in the browser.
But in order to avoid user to login again when user clicks a link from excel to open the form, we added sign in me automatically functionality to login page. So while logging in if user checks "sign in me automatically" checkbox, user will not be asked to login again if user closes the browser and opens the site again. Hence when user opens the InfoPath form link form excel, user is not shown the login page, but now the form does not open and user gets open, save file dialog, where user is asked to download InfoPath form as xml and the form does not open up in the browser.
PS: The links in the excel document are formserver.aspx links not the direct .xml links.
Is there a solution to open the form directly in the browser and user is not asked to download the InfoPath as xml?
Thanks in advance.
