Creating rules based on choice selections InfoPath 2010

    Hello All,

I am creating a form, and in the status field I have active or canceled as a choice. If active is choosen I want to black out the cancellation field as it is n/a, however if canceled I want to be able to enter a date from date picker.

I tried doing a rule with validation, but it is not working...help!!

    Kindly,

    Shannon

So - not sure what "black out" means... but I'd put a rule on the Status field with the condition "Status is not equal to active" to set the Cancellation field to blank. Then I would also add conditional formatting to the Cancellation field that if Status is not equal to active, disable the field. You could also set the background to black, if that is what you mean by black out.

Thank you! Guess I should have described it as gray out the field:)
