How to count checkboxes that are blank

I have an InfoPath 2010 form that has many Y/N checkboxes. I would like to add a field at the top of the form with a running count of unchecked boxes to show the user how many checkboxes have not yet been completed. Unfortunately I don't know how to do this or where to start. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I'm attaching a sample - right click the link above and select save as to save the file locally. Right click the file and select Design to open in design mode - from there you can preview, look at the logic, etc.

I attempted to implement this logic on my form, but unfortunately it produces an error in the Design Checker and an error when I attempt to publish. I can force the Publish, but the fields are not calculating properly after I've published the form. The Design Checker error that I receive is: "Control binding is not supported." "Binding a non-repeating control to a repeating field or group is not supported in Web browser forms. To fix this problem, remove the control or replace it with a repeating control, such a repeating section or table." The Publish error is: "This form template contains errors that may prevent it from working correctly. Review the errors and try publishing again." To the best of my knowledge, I have not created any repeating sections or fields in my form. The fields (currently I have six Y/N fields, but there will be hundreds once the form is finished) are grouped into three different Groups. Do you know why I am receiving this error?
