Is there any way to achieve this without using code? Once someone selects a certain value within a drop down, once selected (or when the form submits) I want to change the value text to bold.. I have a feeling this can only be achieved with rich text boxes but just wanted someone to confirm... And if this can be achieved with code - is it difficult? We are allowed to use some code, but want to keep it very minimal for support concerns. Thank you for any assistance!

Can you just add conditional formatting to the drop down? If the field is equal to the desired value, set the formatting to bold?

Thanks for the quick reply - I should have elaborated more on the formatting option the only problem with the formatting.. is that when I switch the text to bold with the rule - it switches ALL the values in the drop down to bold.. or if i switch the color - same thing, every value in the drop down turns that color until I pick a different option.. any way around this? I want to make it bold/red .. but having all the other values being that same color kinda defeats the purpose of what our stakeholders want..

You could 'fake it' with a sort of custom control, but it will cause the page to adjust when it appears - but it is an option....

Text box, button, repeating section with secondary values and conditional formatting on the controls, button in the repeating section to set text box.

thanks for the option - I think it would be a little more in depth then I want to do on this form.. plus because I'm using a custom list - i don't have the option for repeating tables - but very cool idea and will probably use this somewhere else instead.
