    Print form (modified in InfoPath) from Sharepoint 2013

    Sorry, if this topic was discussed several times, but I haven't found solution, that would help me fully.

    My task is to create convenient for end users vacation form for printing.

    I've created list in SharePoint 2013 with data to be filled (Name, dates) (vacation list).

    I've created list with data about each employee (contact list). And thank to this forum, I've managed to create form in InfoPath for vacation list with references fo contact list, so that employee needs only to enter his id and all need information is here (Name, Surname, Manager, etc)

    I've came across with the problems, when I wanted to add button for printing in the form.

    While the form is not edited in InfoPath, button print can be added in SharePoint designer, but after modifying the form in InfoPath, button print disappears.

    It's possible to modify form options in Infopath and open display form, where there are no buttons, then crl+p and it's printed, but the solution must be as simple, as possible. There are a lot of people, who don't know computer well.

    I've tried to save forms to different library, but the form in this library also doesn't allow to have button print.

    Thank you

    Hi Elina,

    It is possible to create a new InfoPath view and set it as the designated print view at the print settings (go to Page Design > Page Setup > Print Settings). Using this view, you can delete, add, or modify anything you wish to be hidden or shown when printing. Hope this helps.

    Hello, Stephen,

     thank you very much for reply.

    I think, I've done this before and add button in edit form for switching to this view. I press ctrl+P and the form is printed (but there is also an address and time in the top of the page, but it's ok)

    My problem is that this form is made for all people in the company and some of them work in a factory. They don't work with computers and have only one for the whole team. This form is to make their life easy: enter ID, then dates of your vacation, press big button print and take the paper from the printer. I'd like to find such a way, because it can be difficult to explain everyone, that after filling in the form they have to press ctrl+P.

    I have this solution in mind but hope to have more suitable one.

    In the Infopath scripteditor I'll build this html code in to have a print buttom at my screen.

    <div align="center">

    <button name="printen" value="printen" type="button"

      onClick="BLOCKED SCRIPTwindow.print()">Print deze bladzijde</button>

    </div>

    I don't have sharepont designer

    My question is: which html code do I'll need to put at scripteditor so only my form is printed out and not the entire window, just the item form, also without the buttom.

    Thanks

    Frank, hello,

    thank you for reply!

    I've tried this in Script editor in Web Form in SharePoint and I see the result of this script - button.

    But when I stop editing and create New Form there is no button. Script doesn't work in Form, modified in InfoPath.

    May be you know about special settings for script to work?

    Thank you in advance!

    Elina Hey I did put this in the script editor of the web part of the top of the form, I have the buttom there, and when I'll push on that the entire page or window is printed, I just want to have printed the form without the headings etc.. What should be the html code that I'll write at the editor. Does some one have ideas about this? Thx
