Dropdown populated from external List - add new entry

I have learned quite a bit through the forums here, Google searches, and blogs from various people. I have been able to create a Dropdown that is populated from a separate list. I simply add new entries in the list and they will show up in the form. My question is whether there is a way in the Form dropdown to allow adding an entry that is not listed and have that automatically populate a new item in the List it pulls from. For example: Manager List: A set of manager names Form Dropdown: Contains each manager name from the Manager List If a manager does not exist in the Manager List, the user can manually type it and populate the Manager List with the new manager. Is this possible?

    Hi BigRedNole,

Yes this is posssible with external lists. I believe you will only need to requery the corresponding data connection which the drop-down uses everytime you submit a new entry. Hope this helps.
