Open browser-enabled form in browser from SharePoint user alert email

    Hi,

I have a browser-enabled form which is set up to open in the browser by default, and I've set up OOTB SharePoint user alerts (NOT workflows); one alert is sent immediately whenever a new form has been created, and another alert is sent daily and contains all changes to existing forms made over the last 24 hours.

The alerts have hyperlinks to each form, but when I click on the hyperlinks, they open in the client. I would like them to open in the browser instead, as I am the only one on my team who has InfoPath installed.

I've searched for an answer on this forum/google and the closest I found was the following thread, which shows how to modify the URL to have the form open in the browser upon clicking:  http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/11876.aspx

However, since I am using the OOTB user alerts in SharePoint and not creating my own workflows or using OOTB workflows, none of these solutions apply.

Does anyone know how to solve for this?
