How do I populate existing library columns (different types) in sharepoint 2013/online using infopath2013 form.

Hi I have mad a simple form in Infopath2013 With the dropdown control fields: Phone Name ID I have managed to fill these. Phone gets its information from a sharepoint list. Name, I have added manually. ID added manually. I have published the form as a content type and mapped the fields to existing sharepoint library columns (PhoneColum,NameColumn and IDcolumn are Site coumns of type choice). Now the weird stuf: I run the form from the library (Using a document library), looking good..and select the input from dropbox. When saving the form to the library, the columns PhoneColum,NameColumn and IDcolumn dont show the input i selected in the form! BUT if i Change the existing site columns (PhoneColum,NameColumn and IDcolumn ) to type basic text string.. and try again, the results from the form are put into the columns of the library! This is frustrating because when uploading files to the library i also want the users to get a dropdownbox of their choices in the library, not a wildcard* crazy textbox:p where they could write whatever.. So is there anyway to keep different type of columns in the sharepoint library and being able to populate these columns from infopathforms? Im a bit of a newb, any help would be greatly appriciated. brgs Bjorn

     Hi there,

     Here is what I did:

    1) Created site columns UserID, UserPhone, UserName as type choice.

    2) Created a content type and published it to my site. Promoted the fields (phone, name and id) while publishing and selected the site columns I just created for each.

    3) Created a form library and allowed it to manage content types.

    4) under Form Library->List Settings-> added as columns the site columns I created in step 1.

    5) Added the content type to this library.

The columns under my library are dropdown lists.

    Hope this help!!
