I apologize if this question has been asked... it appears to me that a lot of similar subjects are broached, but none exactly like mine.
I have an InfoPath 2010 form published as a content type to an SP 2013 enterprise collection. I have a doc library that I previously added the content type to and set it as the default. Nearly all the fields in the form are promoted (some are editable). Everything works fine, and I've been using it for several days now. I realized however, when I was building a workflow on the library that I had forgotten to set several columns as editable in datasheet mode. So naturally, I went back into the template, republished the form (overwriting the old content type), and modified the fields and checked the "allow users to edit in datasheet" box.
That's where my problem begins.
I still could not edit any existing forms in datasheet view, so I tried adding a new one - no luck. I made sure the content type was set to update all types inheriting from it. I tried deleting the content type from the library and re-adding it. I tried publishing a NEW content type adding it to the library and adding forms using it. I tried republshing the form removing all promoted columns, then republishing again with the columns promoted. I've done pretty much everything but deleting the libraries themselves (which is a terrible option = loss of workflows, loss of version histories, fixing links etc., - and I don't know if it would do anything).
No matter what I've tried, the columns are not editable in datasheet - I did notice that they are editable by clicking 'edit properties' - but that doesn't make them available in an SPD workflow.
Any ideas??
