Going to add as much information as I can so bare with me :)
I have a InfoPath Form that is used to request new servers. Since they may be requesting multiple servers we have a repeating table to gather the information( Ram, Disk, CPU's, OS)
The Server team would like this information to not only be submitted to the Library, but also emailed into our ticket system.
I've written a Workflow to format the information contained in the form so the Admin can work from the ticket itself, rather then having to go back to the form in SharePoint.
By doing so, they have a link in the Ticket back to the form submitted( Rather then just a text value that tells them to search a view like you get from the OOB email data connection)..
Once they have setup the server, they can click the link from the ticket and update the data required for Admins(Computer name, domain, etc..), which will then be submitted to a Different SQL database.
The issue I am currently running into is formatting the Repeating Table rows for the email that is sent to the ticket system.
I've created some hidden "Concentrated" fields to store the data( example of the Ram Concentrated field):
eval(eval(ResourceTable, 'concat(substring(my:Ram, 1, (current() = /my:Request/my:group1/my:group2) * string-length(my:Ram)), substring(concat(my:Ram, ">>"), 1, (not(current() = /my:Request/my:group1/my:group2)) * string-length(concat(my:Ram, "; "))), ">>")'), "..")
But it is not "User Friendly" to view in the email when multiple servers are requested:
HARDWARE
WinOS: Windows 2012 Server
R2 - Standard; ;Windows 2008 Server R2 - Standard; ;Windows 2012 Server -
Essentials; ;
WinCPU: 2; ;1; ;2; ;
RAM(GB's):
64>>;32>>;64>>;
If possible, I'd like to send the rows of data formatted as:
Requested Server Name:xxxx Ram: xx Disk: xxx: OS:xxx
Requested Server Name:xxxx Ram: xx Disk: xxx: OS:xxx
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
