    Submit single view to sharepoint list

    Hi all, I have a infopath form designed with many views. Have each view with submit button using action type. when an user is going to submit a single view it is showing validation error as their are mandatory fields in other views. So can he submit single view with out entering any details in the other views. Can he set the other views field to default values. If so kindly help me on this... Thanks Regards, Manju

    Hi Manju,

    I understand that you would like to validate fields based on the current view and I would suggest using a hidden field to hold the current view's value - then add the condition to the validation. Your condition would be something like: Field9 should not be blank if CurrentView is equal to View2.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Manju,

    Kindly download the attached sample XSN (save the form > right click to open in design). In the sample, I have created three views with one mandatory field for each view. Notice the currentView field which is set to the default view but changes whenever a view is changed (see rules on view buttons). Using that field, you can set the mandatory field's validation rules based on that field.

    Your conition should be similar to this:

    CurrentView = View 1

    and

    View1Field is blank

    Hope this helps.
