    Ok Cancel Subit button?

Is there a way we can easily pop up a confirmation "model" message box "Are you sure you want to submit?" with a "Yes" "No" or OK/Cancel button when clicked on a Infopath 2010 submit button? I saw few people suggesting changing the views which looks like a "not an" elegant solution.

If your form is a filler form, and you have injected with the rich client version of qRules, you can use the ShowDialog command - it has a number of options for the buttons displayed. If the user selects Yes or OK your form logic could then proceed with the submit. The result node will have the DialogResult (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.dialogresult(v=vs.110).aspx)

Yes it is a rich client version (Infopath Filter 2010) form and not a web form. I would like to let you know that I cannot use any server side programming in this project. How can do with base configuration?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. I was talking about using a qRules command in the form. Since this is posted in the qRules forum, I assumed this form was already using qRules?

Yes. I am using qRules. I should confess, I am new to it though. How to show custom message/ dialog box with "Ok/Cancel" with qRules would be an appropriate question :)

You can use the ShowDialog command. Make sure when you inject your form you select "Rich Client" in the compatibility section.

    Sample command syntax:

ShowDialog /text=Click here to continue. /buttons=OKCancel

The QdabraRules result node will have the DialogResult - so, in the case of OKCancel the result field will be either OK or Cancel.

So, your logic could be - set Command to the ShowDialog command, then the next rule can check the Result - if it OK, run the rest of your rules that would complete your form submit (or whatever it is you wish to do). The command also has optional icon and caption parameters.

Hi Hilary, This sound really easy but I am still clueless. Would you able send a sample form with a button and following code? We just purchased a licensed version of qRules 6.1 and not sure where I can find the complete help documentation. Apart from the above, I have this "Rich Client" Infopath 2010 form deployed on a Sharepoint (MOSS) 2007 forms library. I would like to get the "direct" url of the form so that I can provide the link on my home page (of sharepoint site) and clicking on it will open Infopath form. You might also remember that I was looking for the answer on http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/29663.aspx question. I understand from Marci D that qRules purchases do come with 1 hour of installation and configuration support. I am attaching some supporting screenshots as well.

Thanks- I'll get you a sample later today. I just emailed you via the email address you've used for your forum account to request a copy of your template from the other thread as well.

As to where to find the documentation, please see the attached screenshot - the command overview has information on all the commands.

The direct URL of a form published to a library is usually: http://server/site/library/Forms/template.xsn.

I'm attaching a sample form that has rules on a button demonstrating what I mean.
