I am creating a Sharepoint list that can be populated by an Infopath form. That said, the Infopath form is connected to several Sharepoint lists that will pre-populate the dropdowns/calculated fields/textboxes/listboxes.
Currently, I am trying to get a calculated field to populate based on a dropdown selection.
Say that the dropdown contains values from a column called "ABC" from a Sharepoint list called "List 1." Also in "List 1" is a lookup column based on a list called "List 2" in a column called "DEF."
For my calculated field, I want to be able to get values from "DEF" based on my selection from the dropdown. So, if I select "Apples" in the dropdown menu, the calculated field of "red" will appear, as "apples" (of column ABC) and "red" (of column DEF) are in the same row.
What I've done so far is select "DEF" from the List 1 data connection, filter the data to "ID" from the List 1 data connection "is equal to "ABC" from the Main field. However, the calculated field of "DEF" shows up as DEF's respective ID number instead. I would like it to show the text instead.
Please let me know if there is anything I could do remedy this issue!
