Do I have to open the XML directly from the server or can I open a local copy from my hard drive?

When I opened a local copy of the InfoPath XML, I got this error message. I didn't see this when I opened the form through the browser.

Do I need to modify the "additional data connection" mentioned in the "Form Changes" section of the following article to the new url? Not sure if this is causing the error?

     http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2012/07/05/qrules-refreshsharepointlistitems-walkthrough-for-v4-2.aspx

Update: This didn't resolve the problem.

The migration tool seems to be resetting the list IDs which is why the form doesn't retrieve existing information on load. Luckily it was a trial version of the migration tool.

We will be looking at the backup and upgrade of the 2010 content database to migrate the content and keep the IDs. Thanks for your help Hilary. Hope this helps someone else as well.

Okay - looks like you have a refresh command in your form as well. You can update your data connection named "refreshwpb" to use the correct GUID for your list if you have not done that already?

The refresh command failing shouldn't prevent the submit from working, however (I don't think) so you could still try the submit with Fiddler running.

Sorry, I was slow to push the post button - it sounds like you were able to see what was going wrong!
