Good afternoon, I am trying to create a new form and to start. I want to have a drop down box that gives you a list of lets says companies. Once a company is selected then I want the query to run and return the appropriate address for that particular company. Right now, I have followed a video on you tube and done everything int he same sequence. The query will work, but my problem is, that when you open the form you see everything, all the addresses of all the companies, then if you select one from the drop down box it will find that particular one and show it. I don't want to see all of them when the form is opened only what is selected from the drop down box. I have tried this 20 times and it does the same thing every time. Now on the video I watch, it doesn't show all the records on the form, only what is selected from the drop down box. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Probably in your data connection that returns addresses, you have it set to run on load. So, when the form opens, the data source is queried and returns all the items.

Under data connections, select the one with the issue and select modify. In the last dialog for the data connection there is a checkbox for setting it to run when the form opens. Deselect that. :)

When I went back in and deselected the checkbox for setting to run when the form opens then it takes away all the drop down selections in my box to select from. This is what happens. I have a drop down box that has say all the cities for Florida, well all the cities show up below the box and if I select a city then it only shows that particular one I selected. My problem is, I just want the box to show up that states florida cities. Then you can select the city and the information will appear then, not when the form is actually opened. This is very frustrating to me.
