creating a data connection to a sharepoint 2013 list (a list that has a few lookup columns in it)

I have a form that im trying to create, where i want to populate drop downs from a sharepoint list (List A). I have easily done this in the past, but never to a list that has a few lookup columns, or columns that are dropdown lists of their own, populated from a 2nd sharepoint list (list B). When my users create a new row on List A, they get to a certain column where they have a drop down with choices (lookup from List B)...depending upon which choice they choose, the column adjacent will auto populate with a telephone number (another column in List B). When i try to bind a field in my infopath web form to either of these columns (in List A), i cant, they are not listed as a choice in the query fields. If i instead add the data connection to List B out right, i cant associate all the info in the entire row in List A, only the info that is inside List B. Am i making any sense here? Essentially im having trouble figuring out how i can setup rules based on query fields to a sharepoint list, that has columns coming from a 2nd sharepoint list.

additionally ive tried to work my way through adding Odata connections for the above lists, hoping to associate the info found on a row in List A, with info on a row in List B through rules/filters, but when i successfully add the connections in infopath designer...which seem to work fine in the infopath preview (drop downs work), I get an error on Sharepoint saying "an error occured querying a data source, XML data that is required for this form to function correctly cannot be found". I added a screenshot. I have full rights to the site where the lists are, working with sharepoint online can be a bit of a pain sometimes as opposed to on prem. just one of the trade offs i guess. anyone have any ideas? I think going through Odata may be my best option at linking these two lists, but just having trouble getting the web form to display it correctly. No errors in the design checker.

I can successfully populate the drop downs by creating separate Sharepoint list data connections through the wizard, but not through Odata connections, it breaks while trying to grab the list data in the web form with the error above, works fine in the preview, i dont get it.

Do you have access to the SharePoint logs to see why the connection is failing in the browser?

im still searching how to view the sharepoint logs, i dont know if its done through powershell only, or if there is a web interface in the O365 dashboard...

well i gave up on getting event logs, i ran several get-spoapperrors, Get-SPOTenantLogEntry, ect... and nothing had any data inside. Wondering now if you have to turn it on first. What i have also tried, was removing the Odata connections, and adding the list connections via the data connection wizard, setup a few phone fields to calculate based off of the field data of two other form fields, and i still get the error when the form tries to query the lists...works fine in the preview, but breaks in the web form. This has got to be a infopath/sharepoint online bug. very very frustrated.

i have no idea why, but i changed the publish location, and then republished the form back to the original library, and the queries started working. Go figure. I have no idea what that did, same form, same code, but it now works in the web. thought i'd report back in case anyone else came across this issue.
