    disabling a button

I have a submit button at the bottom of my form that emails it out and sends it to sharepoint, i want to beable to disable that button once the user pushes it to send it to sharepoint. That way when the user comes back to make changes to the form he/she has to save it and not have the ability to resubmit it. Anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks,

    Jason

This is pretty simple. Create another field in your Main Data Source, a true false would be fine called saved or something, but do not put it in your form view. When the user clicks the submit button have a rule set this new field that sets it to true. Then put a conditional format on the button to be disabled if saved field = true.

Keeping plugging away and you will have a great form and process. :)

    Hi Jason,

We have used this technique before and it is very easy and works well, but please note that it is *not* secure. All a user has to do is open the XML in notepad, change a "true" to "false" and they will be able to make edits. Depending on the situation, you might want to look into digital signatures for the form for the utmost in security.
