I have a 2010 InfoPath Browser Form on a SP 2010 list. There are approximately 150 fields total (not all being shown on the form of course) 6 views and 8 secondary Data Sources (2 of which are UPS). The form also has over 21 lookup fields (due to so many people pickers / approver fields). I have of course raised the threshold limit in order to accomplish this as well. The form takes approximately 1 minute and 8 seconds to load the first time and then of course once it's cached it takes less than 3 seconds. So here is what I've tried and the results:
Original time to load 1:08 with everything in tact
- Removed 3 of the list data connections and the 8 cascading dropdown fields they populated - went from 1:08 to :43
- Then disable all form load rules - went from :43 to :43 (no change)
- Then deleted all views except 1 (the one that the initiator fills out, the rest of the views are mostly just text boxes with that info in them) - went from :43 to :13 (this would be an acceptable time but don't want to have to remove this much)
NEW TEST with form set back to beginning and load time at 1:08
- Deleted 1 view - went from 1:08 to :48
- Then deleted another view - went from :48 to :35
- Then deleted another view - went from :35 to :25
- Then deleted another view - went from :25 to :15
- Then a section from main view that has 4 people picker fields and several text fields - went from :15 to :10
I also tried turning off all form load rules and deleting all data connections with almost little to no results in regards to time.
Put a blank page as default view and again, not time decrease.
I'm sure there are other things I tried and probably forgot to put here, but can someone please give me ideas of what to try next?
