 Hello!

When I try to open a InfoPath xsn Form Template I get the following error:

"InfoPath cannot open a new form. The form template is trying to access files and settings on your computer. InfoPath cannot grant access to these files and settings because the form template is not fully trusted. For a form to run with full trust, it must be installed or digitally signed with a certificate."

 My problem is, that some days ago, I was able to open the form in design mode without this error. But now it is shown for all my InfoPath form templates. All forms have some code behind and as far as I understand the message I should open them for editing with full trust.

Can you tell what could have caused this error to come up and how to fix it? How can I "install" an InfoPath form on my client?

Hi Florian and thank you for posting.

That error message typically occurs if you have a form that is full trust. Most forms (95%+) do not need to be full trust so you should attach the form and we can determine why it was made full trust.

Design mode is different from filler mode. Design mode will not give you the warning if the form is set to full trust.

What is the code behind? What version of InfoPath are you using? Please email your issue to Support (at) Qdabra (dot) com for a speedy resolution.

 Hi Patrick,

 thanks for your answer. In the meantime I discovered that the error only occurs if I open the xsn over ist Context Menu ->Design.

If I first open the InfoPath Designer and open it using the open dialog, it works for me. Although I still don't know why opening using the context menu suddenly fails, this Workaround works for me in the moment. I'll come back if I find the cause of this issue.
