I'm just after some advice in how I should automate a form in our organisation (Leaver form) for when people leave the organisation?
It needs to be route for approval to the HR dept and then to Payroll dept but HR need to be able check a box to say the HR database has been updated and another checkbox for the leaver letter/exist survey sent.
So far I've modified the out of the box approval workflow from SharePoint designer with infopath and have been able to add the extra reference fields from the leaver form to the standard SharePoint approval form (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mvpawardprogram/archive/2011/07/18/mvps-for-office-365-sharepoint-designer-workflow-tasks-and-infopath-2010.aspx) so it's better for the users using a receive connection.
Should I be editting the approval form or should I instead use the form I've created and have approval sections but then how would I restrict access so the employees cant approve their own form?
I'm also unsure how to add the extra checkboxes, where will these submit to the task list or original infopath form? If tasks how would I get these back onto my form so we can see the completed form with all the approval sections?
Any hints or pointers would be much appreciated.
