Automatically create the number of rows in a repeating tables based of the value of a field.

I think I've seen this asked on here before but I'm not sure how to implement it.

I want to have a repeating table automatically create a set number of rows based off another field.

    Example:

Having the value of 15 in field1 would automatically create 15 blank rows in my repeating table. This way the user doesn't have to keep hitting the insert item button. Any suggestions that doesn't involve too much confusing code? Thanks In advance Thomas

    Hi tplee,

Unfortunately there is no out of the box solution to insert rows in a repeating table, so you'd have to write some code to get this to work.  Here's a link to one of Jimmy's blog posts on programmatically adding rows to repeating tables: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/jimmy/archive/2009/03/06/automatically-adding-rows-to-repeating-sections.aspx

If you'd like to avoid writing code, you can use the qRules Insert command.  Download a free qRules trial here and we can help you get started.
