How to get "queryFields" group appearing in the Secondary Data Connection?

     Hello,

I created a secondary Data Connection to my SharePoint list. However, when I select my Data Connection and click on "MyFields" group, it only shows "dataFields".

I really need the "queryFields" once I'm trying to filter some fields. Does anyone have any idea of how to get this group?

    Thanks!!

Query Fields for a SharePoint Connection are an InfoPath 2010 & later feature. Are you using IP 2010? If so, do you maybe have your form's compatibility set to an earlier version?

    Hilary,

Yes, I'm using InfoPath 2010. As far as I know I don't have my form's compatibility set to any earlier version.

Actually if I go to a SharePoint List, click on "Customize Form" and create a Data Connection to another list in InfoPath, I can see the queryFields.

However, I need to use a form which is created via InfoPath Designer 2010 (desktop app), would that be the problem? Does this type of form allow queryFields?

Yes. If you are using InfoPath 2010 or later, and you add a data connection to a SharePoint list or library, you should see query fields in the data connection.

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2010/05/06/sharepoint-list-data-connections-in-infopath-2010.aspx

Under Form Options > Compatibility you can check that your form is IP 2010.

    Hilary,

After changing form's compability to "InfoPath Filler Form", I could work with "queryFields".

    Thank you very much.
