    Format Drop-Down List Box

I have a drop-down list box linked to a filed in Access database.
The data type of the filed is Date/Time.
When the drop-down pop out, the data appears like "2007-01-01T00:00:00"
My question is how to format the drop-down; I want it appears like "2007-01-01" only.

There is a format button in textbox, but not drop-down.
Even if I changed the format in database, it doesn't do what I want.

Does anyone has experience on this issue?

    Hi Troy0118,
You may be out of luck if you want automatic formatting. You could create a string column in your Access DB that has the desired format and use that as your display field. Another option is to manually edit the xsl but I don't know if that will work. The way to try is to add the appropriate date format to another field. Extract the source files and look at what InfoPath adds for that field. Copy that to the dropdown control. Like I said, not sure that will work and it may be easiier just to create a display column that you use.

    Hello

Did you try setting the datatype for the drop down as Date(date) in the dropdown properties?

    Hi, Kalyan
The data type in the drop-down box is disable; cannot make any changes. Can you tell me how to change it?
    Currently, it shows "optional_dateTime.notz"

    Hi Patrick,
As you said, I may out of luck. It's not possible to edit the list manually because the list in the drop down will be filtered while a user accessing the from. It must be formatted automaticlly.
If there is no way to do so, I guess I will just leave it. It's just like I gave up using SmartComboBox because it only works with XML file; not a DB connection.
