Hi,

I have choice section and having two views on infopath form. On one view I want user to select from choice section but in another view I want to show which section is selected by user in 1st view. I dont want user to select/replace/remove choice section.

How to avoid user to insert/replace/remove choice section? How to disable shortcut menu of choice section to user?

Hi Mrudula,

To disable the short cut menu for choice group you need to do in the following way
1. Open form in design mode and go to the view where you don't want to have shortcut menu for choice group
2. In Choice Group, there are two choice sections
3. Double click on one choice section to open 'choice section property' window
4. click on 'Customize Commands' button which will open 'Section Commands' window
5. Select 'Insert' in Action dropdown box
6. Uncheck 'Insert Section Menu' checkbox
7. Similarly select for 'Remove#%92 and 'Replace with' Action and uncheck the 'Shortcut menu' check box and other Insertion checkboxes
8. Similarly repeat steps for second choice section which is not default one in the choice group
9. save the form

It helped me to disable insert/remove/replace of choice section.
But I am getting cut/copy/paste option on the choice section when I previewed it. What is it? And how to disable these options on the choice section?

I am using VSTO c# project so I am not able to get OnBeforeChange event so trying to do that in OnValidating event.
I am not able to get e.ReturnMessage and e.ReturnStatus or any equivalent operation to do that. What do I do?

I just want to display data in choice section as a report. I dont want to allow userto cut/copy/paste choice section.
