Multiple Attachment fields / Browse to Document Library

    Hi Everyone!

I have a problem I'm hoping you can help with. I'm looking for a solution to either adding an additional attachment field to an infopath form (which will be used in SPD 2010) or adding a field whereby I can somehow let the end user browse out to select a document in a document library.....not sure how possible this is...but I'm hopeful!! Many thanks in advance!

     Hello deeryan,

In order to enable you user to insert multiple attachments, the attachment field will need to be in a repeating group. Best practice is to also put the repeating group inside of a non repeating group so that the repeating element is isolated from the rest of you schema.

The drawback to this method is that you form could get weighed down with lots of attachments and perform slowly.

The best solution would be to use the qRules command SaveToSharePoint which takes a repeating attachment field, stores the attachment in a document library, and replaces the attachment with a link to open the document.

Here's a link to more information about qRules and the command.  http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules_top.aspx

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions.
