    Salut Virgul,

From my recollection, there aren't any significant changes if any to the right-click menu or toolbars in IP 2007. Are there any specific items you're thinking about you would have wanted to see change?

    Hi Shiraz,

    Thanks for your interest!

What he miss me a lot in Infopath in that on the right click in a reapeating table line I want to show or hide some menu (that I have insert in my manifest)depending on different parameter like you do for button.

This is because I dont want to put 10 buttons in each line of my reapeating table. And I dont want to make an error message if a user click on a menu (that I cant hide) that is not suppose to be click for this line.

for example: you have a list of person and you can enter the e-mail and in the right clic menu you have send e-mail. So if the e-mail is not insert you cant send mail so I want to hide this possibility. That's my challenge.

For the toolbar I can find some work-around that is not really good but that is not much important as the right clic menu.

I'm not the only to want this feature. Some person in french forum are searching to do this.

    Thanks

    Hi Thierry!

If you have added custom widget menu options as specified in the below tutorial then I regret to inform you that there is no way to conditionally show/hide those widget menu options. When editing the manifest you will notice that the "xmlToEdit" and "showIf" attributes are not used, so InfoPath has no way of determining when these options should be shown. We have hit this problem in several projects, and it's hard to convince the UI experts that it cannot be done, but trust me. The only way to hide a custom widget menu item is to switch to another view (and therefore a different XSL).

After reading over this post, I see that it is posted in the IP2007 forums, but everything I have said is from my experience with IP2003, so maybe it will work in IP2007, but my guess is that it won't. Let us know if you figure it out!

Yes, we have need for this same feature in our Project Tracker InfoPath form. It's a real limitation. The only other idea is to have buttons that only show when the function is available. But the form does get quickly cluttered with buttons.
