"InfoPath cannot load the view. The view may have been modified to contain unsupported HTML such as frames."

    Hi,

I tried to change some existing forms with IP designer  (IP 2010, Win7(32bit), 64bit machine). When changing form views I got the above message on screen.

Resulting  in not to be able to get into the view I want to change.   I tried other forms and some views are OK and some not.

I looked around on the internet tried some offered solutions (deleting views in the CAB file/ reinstalling MSOffice). It  did not work  or I was not skilled enough.

At last I started to make one of my forms from scratch. I got the message again after making some views,  only with some tables and text labels in there (no fields entered yet).

Is there a solution to this?

Hi - this JUST has been happening to me today as well - trying to open a form in design mode, I have gotten that same message. What I have found is repeatedly trying to open in design mode is resolving this issue - eventually the form will open in design mode. I'm IP 2013, Win 7, running 64 bit Office.

    HI-

I tried that also for about 50 times. It did not help.

After that I restored the IP program through control panel / restore MS Office 2010 and restarted windows: nothing.

After that I uninstalled IP  and reinstalled IP again: still the same error.

I think the bug is not especially in IP but in another program like IE 11 or in an recent update

I'm starting to lose my confidence in the usefulness of the program.

For now I'm at a loss.

The message disappeared for me after a restart - but I really expected to see more people with this issue when I did a web search. I kind of thought that it was an update too. If it shows up again for me, I'll let you know. I did find an earlier IPDev thread with the same issue - that form was showing the message when changing views in design mode.
