Issues with Infopath to sharepoint Lists

     Hi,

I have created a infopath 2013 form to submit to  an online 365 sharepoint site. This form has a non repeating part that the user fills in (meeting title, attendees etc.), then a repeating section that tasks are filled into. The form submits perfectly to the required library on sharepoint and can be opened and the contents edited and resubmited as the next version.

    Repeating Section

I followed the excellent tutorial by Hillary to create a list from this form, which I would then use to populate a task list.

This works, but I am having a major problem:

If the form is opened from the library and an action modified (due date changed etc.) or action added, then on the resubmit all the actions are repeated with a new ID. Is there any way to prevent this and only allow the updated action to be modified? On the library that the form is resubmitted to the form shows the correct revision increase and only the actions changed or added are effected.

What is sounds like is you are missing an update data  connection xml.  You need to create another xml data connection to update "Cmd='Update'  rather than "Cmd='New' . Or you can set the Cmd field to either New or Update with only the one data connection using rules.

Thanks for the pointer, but I dont quite know what you mean.

I have two xml data conections, one for the mapping and another for the QdabraRules.

I have three rules currently set up for when the form is submitted, the first which assigns a name to the form if it is blank, another that checks if the filename is not blank, the third is "set a field's value = Command = SubmitToSharePointList/submit=SHPlist"

How would I set an xml data connection to check that the data on the form has been changed?

Hi - have you mapped an ID field? To update an existing item, qRules needs to know the ID of the item.
