InfoPath Dev

I have read multiple articles on this. But, for some reason cannot make this work.
eval(eval(my:group5/my:group6, 'concat(substring-before(my:UserIDNew, ";"), ",", substring(my:Action, 1, 1), ",", my:ReportTitle)'), "..")
Schema

group2
   group5
      group6
         my:ReportTitle
         my:Action
            group18
               group19
                  PrimaryRecipient
                  my:UserIDNew
field3 (Where I want to concat the string)

And, I keep getting errors like: "my:group5/my:group6" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group OR Node-test expected. on this first comma after I add a slash to the end of the path. Any ideas?

I need to concatinate ReportID, the beginning of the word in Type of Change (A for Add or D for Delete) and the UserID populated from the People Picker

But, I only need this to happen when the Security field contains Yes.

I know this is a lot of logic and it may be better to code it. But, it doesn't see like it should be all that difficult with what I have now.

This is what I have so far - concat(substring-before(UserIDNew, ";"), ",", substring(Action, 1, 1), ",", ReportTitle)

And, this is what I have been trying to work with:
eval(eval(my:group5/my:group6/, 'concat(my:ReportTitle, ";")'), "..")

eval(eval(my:group5/my:group6, 'concat(substring-before(my:UserIDNew, ";"), ",", substring(my:Action, 1, 1), ",", my:ReportTitle)'), "..")

My problem is that I don't fully understand what the Edit XPath (advanced) checkbox does.

Well, I got it part of the way there. But, now I am getting a NAN error.
