Reply Contact I have five dropdown list box on infopath table, and list box entries are all from one data sharepoint library (list). For example, the sharepoint list is: ID Name Company Position Salary 1 Tom CA Manager 100,000 2 Bruce CB Analyst 75,000 3 Kyle CC Programmer 80,000 Let's say the five dropdown boxes linked to each column are A, B, C, D, E. When "1" is selected in box A, "Tom", "CA", "Manager", "100,000" will be populated in B, C, D, and E. When "2" is selected in A, "Bruce", "CB", "Analyst", "Position", "Salary" will be populated in B, C, D, E. How to make this happen? Thanks in advance. When "1" is selected in box A, "Bruce" will be autofilled in box B. "2" is selected, and "Tom" will be autofilled in box B. Thanks in advance. Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Make box A have the value set to be the Name and the Display set to be the ID. This can be done under the dropdown's properties. Then add a rule to field A that says when field is not empty do the action -> fill field -> select Box B and write literally '.' without the quotes so just one (dot). The dot is a reference to the value of box A because A is the box the rule is on and '.' is the default reference. The result will be a drop down of ID's in field A which will then populate box B correctly 07-30-2014 10:24 AM In reply to Bruce Joined on 07-30-2014 Posts 7 Re: How to add a rule to connect two fields from one sharpoint data source? Reply Contact That's pretty easy to do, here's an example, you make the default equal to the corresponding field of the data source filtered by the first field (../../../my:group1/my:group2/my:field2[current()/../my:field6 = ../my:field1]) Page 1 of 1 (7 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
