Submitting multiple repeating rows from infopath to SharePoint Library

I know this has been covered probably multiple times but why on earth is it so difficult to submit multiple rows from a repeating infopath table to sharepoint. Right now it will only submit the first row and every solution looks like it needs code. Does anyone have a simple solution to this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Re: Submitting multiple repeating rows from infopath to SharePoint Library

    Hi,

I do not have a concrete answer as to why submitting repeating data to a SharePoint Library using a submit to SharePoint Library data connection is not allowed, but maybe probably because it was not built to perform this action. A common practice when submitting repeating data is using a SharePoint List and have a lookup field for the library and list in order to have a parent-child sort of relationship between the two. You might want to use a CAML approach for submitting repeating data, or you may want to check out qRules' SubmitToSharepointList command if you prefer a codeless approach. Hope this helps.

Does Q Rule come with Infopath or do I have to purchase it separately? I am having the same issue really frustrating.

    Hi phmytic,

qRules doesn't come with InfoPath. You can download a trial though at this link and see what other advantages qRules can provide you with, as it can easily manipulate the data on your form. If not, then you could use other approaches available. The one I am most familiar with is the CAML approach, you can check it out here.

Re: Submitting multiple repeating rows from infopath to SharePoint Library

There's quiet a long thread called Codeless submitting InfoPath repeating table to a SharePoint list that has example form and explanation of how to do this.

This will only solve the problem of submitting items, not retrieving and updating them at a  later stage.
