conversion issues from InfoPath 2007 to InfoPath 2013 - running SharePoint 2007

    Hello,

At my organization we are running SharePoint 2007 and have recently upgraded MS Office from 2007 to 2013.  We have some code that "merges" 2 or more InfoPath documents that are located within the same SharePoint form library, into 1 InfoPath document which is saved in the same form library.  It worked well in InfoPath 2007.  Since we've upgraded to InfoPath 2013 we have been having some issues. When attempting to "merge" the documents, a message box stating there has been a "catastrophic error" appears and the merge halts.  This message appears once for each merge attempted (3 documents, 2 merge operations, therefore 2 errors)

This is a typical event recorded within the Application Event Viewer describing (at least part of) the issue:

Faulting application name: INFOPATH.EXE, version: 15.0.4420.1017, time stamp: 0x5067334b
Faulting module name: IPEDITOR.DLL, version: 15.0.4420.1017, time stamp: 0x506733e4
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0005ba6d
    Faulting process id: 0x15cc
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cf84b810c49787
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\INFOPATH.EXE
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\IPEDITOR.DLL
    Report Id: 4ef66e11-f0ab-11e3-9739-24b6fdfb22e1

Does anyone have an idea what the issue is?

I would be happy to provide addition information that would help.

    Thank you in advance.

    Matt
