Repeating table default values on a drop-down list

Hi all I am trying to create a repeating table (so far so good) with different options in each row. I have found Default Values and have managed to add additional groups/rows to a text control but am struggling with how to do the same on a drop-down list. I have attached where I am so far. Any help gratefully received please.

I would like to see the replies to this situation. I am curious why you are using a repeating table and then hard coding the text in the table. Would it be easier to just create your questions with different drop-down lists associated to each one?  What is the objective? I'm not trying to criticizing, just trying to learn more.

    Hi

Someone suggested I used a repeating table as I need to calculate the frequency of the answers. I did originally create individual questions with different drop-down lists as you suggest but then couldn't figure out how to work out the frequency. Each question returns a letter result and I need to total those at the end to see which are the dominate answers.

    Thanks

I was trying to think of a different way to accomplish your goal since this one is giving you (and me) trouble.  Assuming you have just a few questions to ask. You create a variable (field used just to make a calculation) for each question that assigned 1 each time a question is selected. You could then use the variables to create a total field and keep track of which questions where selected most often. I think this would be a pretty simple solution to your issue. Make sense?
