Using a Browser form - getting an email address?

Hello, Forgive me if the answer is very simple, my technical skills are limited! I have to use a Browser form not filler (company policy) so 'GetUserProfileByName' data source won't work. Is there another way I can get my form to display someone's email address? My form is for requesting travel etc, and I need it to 'find' the requesters email address so the requester can be emailed when the form has been approved. Thanks :)

Hmmm - is this an Office 365 SharePoint site? I thought GetUserProfileByName did work in the browser in on-prem servers, but I'm sure you've already given that a try, right?

This is the error message I get: An error occurred querying a data source. Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors. You do not have permissions to access a web service that provides data required for this form to function correctly. Log ID: 5566 Correlation ID:448b4101-62f1-4f1a-9036-8535c0057e0b

Sorry to ask again - is this an Office 365 site? Or is it an on premises site - hosted on your server?
