     Hi Yosef,

I am attaching a simple form that auto populates when it is opened in filler. You won't get to see it in action because you do not have access to the SharePoint list where it is connected.

Take a look at the data connection, note that I checked 'Retieve data everytime the form is opened' and selected the columns in that I want to retrieve data from.

After I created my secondary data source, I just dragged 'dataFields' section into the canvas. Those fields will auto populate when the form is opened.

Let me know if you get it to work :)

    Hello jun,

I managed to get your form worked, however it seems you have used "bindings".

I was hoping to find an answer on my form, where I have 3 fields.

    I have a library with 3 fields:

    MemberID (dropdown list)

    Firstname(autopopulate)

    Surename.(autopopulate)

    Notes:(textbox)

Goal: When a memberID is selected in the  dropdown list, then the values for the fields Firstname and Surename should be retreived automatically from the library called "leden".

When some notes have been added in the field "Notes" and "Submit" button is pressed, the the library will be updated with the notes.

I think this have to be acheived by using rules, no?

    (I attached the file)

    Many thanks in advance,

    Hi Yosef,

Attached is a form that does what you want except for submitting 'notes' to the SharePoint list.

Here is  blog that shows you how to do that

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2007/03/26/submitting-to-a-sharepoint-list.aspx

Here is a video that shows 3 ways you can do it

Method number 1 is similar to the blog.
