How to use Qrules DateDiff to calculate time difference

Does anyone have a walkthrough for using DateDiff to calculated total hours time difference please?

For some reason I cannot get time difference to calculate correctly. I used Qdrules Lab 5 to help me and have changed the component to hours, but if I put Start Time 12/05/14 18:30 and End Time 12/05/14 20:00 the Hours field shows 1.00 and not 1.5

Date 1 is set as Date Time

Date 2 is set as Date Time

Difference is set as decimal double (with translate(., "-", "") in the value field to prevent displaying a minus sign in front of the hours calculation)

    Many thanks

I think you need to calculate the minutes then divide the result by 60.

I actually realised I needed to use totalminutes not minutes for my component and this appears to now work!  Thank you

Okay - want to attach your form under the Options tab and I'll give you hand?
