    Date style in text box

I have a date picker which is formatted as text (string) -I only want to use text format. I also have a duplicate text string box in my summary showing this date (bound to same data source). I have several of these and the dates in the summary appear differenly e.g. 03/12/07 or 2006-12-11 even though they appear in the same style in the orginal box with the date picker. How can I make all the dates in the summary appear the same. I even have several of these text (string) boxes bound to the same field which is populated by a date picker and yet they show the date in differnet styles.

    Hello Turnipboy,
You can change the format of the date in text boxes by using format. Double click the text box, click on Format button besides data type drop down, select the format in which you want the date to be displayed from "Display te date like this" list and click on OK twice.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Turnipboy,

Your Query is clear, the small difference in the shailaja response is instead of changing the format of text box, change the date format to yyyy-mm-dd in date picker control. InfoPath not allows you to change the textbox format in the properties, you can do it for datepickers.

I hope this will help you better!
