Drop Down Value & Multiple Choice Selection

Hi All, I have a infopath form. On this there is a drop down box with 13 different sections. i.e if a user wants a new mobile, transfer account, lost device, or cancel account. Originally i had each individual 13 sections hidden based on conditional formatting. But if a user clicks another option, the drop down value doesn't clear. And the issues when the form is submitted the dropdown choice in the email will be incorrect to the updated value. Then I have tried to use choice section. But this you cant customized the commands to send the command to add the new section. Any ideas?

To get values to 'clear' you need to specify that as part of your rules. i.e set field value to blank

Would this be an additonal on the drop down value rules or to each individual section onto there rules?

I think if you open up this example, it has all the rules already done, If not let me know and I'll put something together.

    That is similar.

But still not quite right. I have uploaded an example to similar I am having trouble with. Please see attached. Maybe it has rules not complete?

    Thanks

Ah OK - I don't use forms via email. All my forms are used via SharePoint and web pages.

Your rules on the dropdown were formatting rules and incomplete.

A/Your drop down automatically clear on a change of value.

I add a dummy field to see what was happening to the drop down box when I selected a new value, it was changing it's value as expected.

If email acts differently. I've added a 'clear' rule to the attached form. The box you want to look at and see a "value" in would be the  RequestTypeValue field not, your drop down control.
