InfoPath Form to Submit data to multiple rows in SQL table

     Hi

I would be grateful, if  someone could guide me (this may already have been asked before).

I am new to InfoPath and designed forms which Submit to one row in SQL table.

My question is, Is there any way that I can store information to multiple rows in SQL table?

If yes than which components should I use?

    Many thanks in advance.

When I create a database bound form, by default I'm getting a repeating group for the data fields in the data source - is that not happening for you?

     Hi Hilary

Thanks for your response, I can not see 'Repeating Group'  in particular.

    My aim is

    1. Fetch data from database based on user input and display this data in multiple rows.

    2. Submit this data to another database table in multiple rows.

    Please guide me in detail.

    Cheers

Can you attach a screenshot of your data source (or the form itself) under the Options tab in a reply?

This is for IP 2003, but the same principles apply - perhaps take a look: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/connect-a-form-to-a-database-RZ001187936.aspx

    Hi Hilary

    Many thanks for your help.

I have attached the screenshot of my aims, I would like to achieve this using one component.

I did designed the forms previously which queries from one database, display data in text box and then submits to the other but they were submitting to different columns in one row.

Now the goal is to submit data into multiple rows??

Any guidance will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

These rows to be added automatically (without user clicking INSERT) into the form and then submit the information to database when the form is submitted.

     Hi Hilary

I would be grateful, if you could advise that the above is possible using InfoPath or not?

I am familiar to Vb Script, if it is achievable via scripting behind controls.

    Cheers

Sorry to be slow getting back to you - what you want to do is going to require code. I guess I'd create the form bound to the DB table I want to submit to, then on form open or click of a button or whatever makes sense for your particular process, you'll need to use code to insert rows into the main data source (as many are present in your secondary data connection to your other table) and populate values.
