Back using Infopath after a 2 year absense

I will be using Infopath 2010 to create a survey/questionaire. Its been a while since i last used it. I have an access database that contains some tables (business unit, country, products)

that I need to bring in to populate drop down list boxes and I want the form after all the fields have been filled in to go to Sharepoint. When I created a form from an Access database, everytime

I try to use a text box the query fields and data fields appear. How can I bind a drop down list box and be able to use text fields....Also what is the best way to start out when the final piece when all

data is entered is to publish to Sharepoint ( which i have never done!!)

Why not create a questionnaire site in SharePoint

Then have all your list data i.e. business unit, country, products as SharePoint lists. I think you could even connect these external lists to an access database if somebody else needs to maintain it. That way SP does the grunt work and not your form.

Within InfoPath, you'll need to  create data connections to your data (Accees) or SharePoint lists and either bind the date i.e country to the control or have an action rule to query your data at some point. It sounds as if you might need to do some filtering too, so that you only see what you want to see.

After watching a few You Tube Videos on Infopath and Sharepoint, I can easily create lists in Sharepoint and bind those lists to the fields using drop down list boxes. This way I don't have to use Access, because not everyone will be able to gain access to our shared drive. So the Sharepoint lists will work great.
