What is best practice for publishing two different templates to one SharePoint library?

I have one form template in a library.  I've revised the template dramatically.  I would like to publish the 2nd revised template to the same library but I do not want the new template to override the existing forms when they are opened later.  I believe I have to publish each form as a content type to do this? Is that the best way to achieve this (maybe the only way)?

Also each of these templates has an SPD workflow attached, the workflows are also different - Can I have two working, workflows in one library?

    Hi Doreen,

Typically, you can only have one template associated with a form library.  However, with content types you can have multiple templates attached to a single library, which is I think the best practice and probably the only way.

Also, you can have differenct workflows available for a specific content type. Please check this link for more information. Hope this helps.
