Take InfoPath/SharePoint to the next skill level

    All,

I'm pretty proficient at OOTB InfoPath and day to day SharePoint (2010) troubleshooting.

Yet I don't fit into an pure admin or designer role where I am.

Yet, to move on it seems I have to pick on or the other.

I love creating InfoPath forms and associated workflows, and spent much of my time doing that as where I am currently grow and develop with SharePoint.

What 'skills' would help me move somewhere else or make my day to day life, easier, quicker and faster?

Devs - seem to need/want C#, .Net, HTML etc.

Admins - Experience on bigger farms, SQL, Powershell.

Most of which I lack completely or I can bumble my way through on the simplest of cases.

    Thanks

    W

    Hi W,

I would recommend XPath, PowerShell and/or T-SQL as a first step. Those languages will complement your skills with InfoPath and SharePoint workflows.

Programming languages are easy to learn. The challenge is learning the utilities and techniques included in the framework where you will be implementing your solutions.

    Best of luck,
