 Hello guys,

I've got a question. How is it possible to disbale text fields in Infopath 2010 after the user profile service from SharePoint 2010 has set the fields? Should use a rule or can I use another approach?

Set the field to read-only, you can either use the property associated with the field.

Or you could use form load rules to set a read-only flag and then conditional formatting to disable the control

Or you could use a calculated value

 If you don't want others to go deleting entries, remove all default formatting so it appears as if the 'field' doesn't exist and is automatically generated.
