Customizing sharepoint list form/adding repeating section /auto populating the values

     Hi All,

I have a scenario where i need to customize the sharepoint list form and add the repeating section which contains a drop down (sp list data source), number of users(text box), perentage completed(text box).

when a user selects a value from the drop down ..the same drop down value should be carried over to the other section. can some body help to achieve this.

    Thank You

    Matrix

This part of the forum is for post relating to infopathdev.com, it is kind of a meta forum about the forum. You want to post in the appropriate part, http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/142.aspx for InfoPath/sharepoint 2010

    Hi Matrix,

First of all, SharePoint list forms don't support repeating sections. You could create a full-fledged InfoPath form that edits your SharePoint list but I'm not sure that's what you are going for.

So, I need more details on your scenario and this notion of "other section". What's that refer to?

Can you explain your form from a user and not from what you think the implementation should be?

Might be you are approaching the problem in a weird way...

Hi Patrick, Thanks for getting back. Yeah i agree probably i hv not put tht in a right way. Will elobrate a little more. So, i have created an infopath form based on sharepoint lust template abd published to the sp list. So that i can use the repeating section. User needs to have a set of rows prepopulated instead of clicking on insert item each time.for that i have added no the of rows i want in the defalt values option.now on the form it displays a set of rows. One of the field in the firm in a row is a drop down. When user chooses a drop down value it should be carried or copiedti tge below rows. How can i acheive this.
