Hi Everyone,

 Sorry if this has been answered a hundred times and I just couldn't find it..

 I am querying a record set in SQL server that is over 50,000 records.  Needless to say, if I can't pass a parameter (employeeID in this case) to get the specific record I am looking for the performance is terrible.  I am hoping there is a way to use a SQL secondary data source with a parameter to avoid the overhead.  I have not been able to find anything.  I am hoping to do it without code as I am not an up to date programmer (Classic ASP is where I stopped).  I also don't think I have the option of a Web Service either.

I'm sorry to tell you your options here are limited - you can use a web service to return just the data you need (custom, DBXL, etc.). You could use qRules - it can add a "where" clause with the ModifySqlQuery command - or you can write code - here's an MSDN link that might help there:

Excellent! I just realized that the MSDN sample was also needing to query for a specific employee Id. :)
